Who we are

BenchIndia (“we”, “us”) is an early-stage engineering hiring service run from Bengaluru, India. The service is operated by the BenchIndia Team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This policy explains how we handle information submitted through benchindia.com.

What we collect

From companies (hiring enquiry form):

• Name, work email, company name, and optionally a phone number and company website.
• Hiring details: role, experience level, number of hires, budget, joining timeline, job description and any context you add.

From engineers (registration form):

• Name, email, optional phone number, current or most recent role, years of experience, specialization and skills.
• Employment status, notice period (if applicable), earliest joining date, expected compensation and work preference.
• LinkedIn profile, and optionally a GitHub or portfolio link and a resume link you choose to share. We do not accept file uploads.

We ask only for what we need to respond or to assess fit. Please don’t include sensitive information such as government IDs, bank details or health information.

We also receive basic technical data when you visit (such as IP address and browser type) through our hosting provider’s server logs. We do not currently run advertising or analytics cookies on the site.

How we use it

• To respond to company enquiries and understand hiring requirements.
• To evaluate engineers for relevant opportunities and verify availability and technical suitability.
• To contact you about the above, and to keep basic records of our service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not display submissions publicly.

Consent and sharing candidate profiles

Engineers submit their details on the basis of consent given on the form. We share an engineer’s profile with a prospective employer only after following an appropriate consent process with that engineer. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the site and the business. They process data on our behalf:

• Formspree: receives form submissions and forwards them to us.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Zoho Mail: our business email, where notifications and replies are handled.
• Hostinger: our domain registrar and DNS provider. It does not receive form data.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. If we enable website analytics in future, we will update this policy.

Security

Submissions are sent to our form provider over an encrypted connection and are accessible only to BenchIndia. We limit access to our email and form accounts. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and privacy requests

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing help@benchindia.com. We aim to respond to genuine requests within a reasonable time. We intend to handle personal data consistently with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For privacy complaints, contact the BenchIndia Team at the same address.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
